Our Cosmetic Dentistry Treatments in Montreal: Teeth Whitening and Much More

Cosmetic dentistry treatments offered at the clinic:

Thanks to advances in dentistry, it is now easier than ever to achieve a radiant smile. At the Centre de Santé Dentaire de Montréal, we believe in the power of a smile and want to give it back to you. This is why, in addition to our complete range of preventive and restorative dental care, we offer you, within our premises on Sherbrooke Street east of Montreal, teeth whitening, on chair or at home, as well as other aesthetic services.

Teeth Whitening

Who doesn't dream of a whiter smile? At the Centre de Santé Dentaire de Montréal, two options are offered to you. In all cases, a dental cleaning is required within 30 days before your whitening. The results of whitening are only visible on the enamel of the natural tooth; restorations (composite fillings, veneers and crowns) will not change color.

Whitening at Clinic

In-clinic whitening, also called chairside whitening, is carried out in a single 2-hour visit. The product used is Pola office+, a 37.5% hydrogen peroxide. The visit includes custom-made whitening trays as well as a syringe of Polarnight, a 16% carbamide peroxide gel, to complete the treatment at home.

This is the most popular choice for those looking for an immediate, bright smile under professional supervision.

Whitening at Home

For at-home whitening, you must schedule two appointments of 30 minutes each. The first visit is devoted to taking impressions for making your custom-made gutters; the preparation time in the laboratory is approximately 48 hours.

At the second appointment, you will be given your trays as well as four syringes of Polanight product, 16% carbamide peroxide gel and instructions for use. The treatment, lasting from 12 to 16 days, already allows you to obtain a brighter smile, without damaging your enamel (unlike kits sold in pharmacies).

The Bridge

The bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. This is made of one fixed artificial tooth, or more depending on the space to be filled, and is placed between two crowns. It is permanently cemented and therefore cannot be removed. The bridge can be made on natural teeth or implants.

The Butterfly Bridge

The butterfly bridge is an artificial tooth accompanied by two fins. These are used for anchoring and are cemented to the back of the teeth. Although it is less expensive, the butterfly bridge represents a short or medium term solution, not very modifiable and possible only under certain conditions.

Facet

The veneer is a thin layer of ceramic or composite that is installed on the front of the teeth. It may be necessary to correct an enamel defect, to close a diastema (space between two teeth), to modify the shape of a tooth and, sometimes, for dental alignment to harmonize the smile.

The composite veneer is performed in a single appointment, but has a shorter lifespan than its ceramic alternative and may, therefore, require touch-ups. As for the ceramic veneer, it requires two visits, but offers better color stability, greater durability and greater resistance.

Crown

The crown is an artificial tooth that covers a tooth that is fractured, damaged, heavily restored, or has had a root canal. In addition to restoring the tooth, restoring its strength and protecting it, the crown can also be used for aesthetic purposes. The appearance of a crown (shape and color) is very similar to that of a natural tooth.
