Our Cosmetic Dentistry Services in Montreal: Teeth Whitening and More
With advances in dentistry, it's now easier than ever to get a radiant smile. At Centre de Santé Dentaire de Montréal, we believe in the power of a bright smile and want to help you get it back. That's why, in addition to our comprehensive range of preventive and restorative dental care, we offer teeth whitening, chair or home bleaching, as well as other cosmetic services at our clinic in Montreal.

Teeth Whitening
Who doesn't dream of a whiter smile? At Centre de santé dentaire de Montréal, two options are available to you. In both cases, dental cleaning is required within 30 days before your bleaching. The results of whitening are only visible on the enamel of the natural tooth; restorations (composite fillings, veneers and crowns) will not change colour.
Teeth Whitening at the Clinic
Whitening at the clinic is done in one visit of 2 hours. The product used is Pola Office +, a 37.5% hydrogen peroxide solution. The visit includes custom-made bleaching trays and a Polarnight product syringe, a 16% carbamide-peroxide gel, to finalize the treatment at home.
This is the most popular choice for people looking to achieve whitening results immediately, under professional supervision.
Whitening at Home
For whitening at home, two 30-minute appointments must be scheduled. The first visit is to take molds to produce your custom-made mouth tray; the preparation time in the laboratory is approximately 48 hours.
At the second appointment, you are given your mouth tray and four syringes of Polanight product, 16% carbamide gel peroxide and instructions for use. The treatment, lasting from 12 to 16 days, already allows you to get a brighter smile, without damaging your enamel (unlike kits sold in pharmacies).

Bridge
A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It is made of one or more fixed artificial teeth, depending on the space to fill, and is placed between two crowns. It is cemented permanently in place and cannot be removed. The bridge can be done on natural teeth or implants.
Butterfly Bridge
The butterfly bridge is an artificial tooth with two wings. These are used for anchoring, and are cemented on the back of the teeth adjacent to the one to be replaced. Although it is less expensive, the butterfly bridge represents only a short or medium term solution, is not very changeable and can only be done under certain conditions.

Facet
A facet is a thin layer of ceramic or composite that is installed on the front of the teeth. It can be used to correct a defect in the enamel, close a diastema (space between two teeth), change the shape of a tooth, or sometimes to align the teeth for a better smile.
The composite facet is made in a single appointment, but has a shorter life span than its ceramic counterpart and may therefore require retouching. The ceramic facet requires two visits, but offers greater colour stability, strength and durability.

Crown
The crown is an artificial tooth that covers a tooth that has been fractured or damaged, weakened by too many fillings or has undergone a root canal procedure. In addition to repairing the tooth, restoring its strength and protecting it, the crown can also be used for cosmetic purposes. The appearance of a crown (shape and colour) is very similar to that of a natural tooth.
